Abdulmotaleb EL SADDIK received his PhD degree from the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany, in 2001. He is a Distinguished University Professor and Research Chair in the School of electrical engineering and computer science at the University of Ottawa. His research focus is on the establishment of digital twins to facilitate the wellbeing of citizens using. He has coauthored 10 books and more than 550 publications. He has received several international awards i.e. the A.G.L. McNaughton Gold Medal. He is a Fellow of the Engineering Institute of Canada, Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineers and Fellow of the IEEE.
